Deepest condolenc lbelatedlyh to Sharon and Harold's extended family. I have known Harold since 1942 when he and his late brother Noboru, first attended the Christian Sunday School in Lawai my parents, Rev. Howard & Gertrude Smith, started as an extension of the Koloa Union Church. As teenagers, Harold, Nobo (my best friend at Kauai Hi School) and I were the only males in our KUC youth group and, in the years I returned on business to the islands from my home on the mainland, the two Ayabe couples and I would kaukau at Zippys in Pearl City and relive our teenage years. I visited Harold and Ann ion their lovely Kaneohe home several tiomes and we exchanged e-mails for years. Having attended a couple of Harold's services at Windward, I admired his scholarly transition into academia and continued service to his Lord and fellow man. I shall lmiss his hearty laughter, keen wit and presence among us.
