Harriet Wedeman Obituary

Dear Willa and Mark, we never met although your mother talked about you. I met your mom on a visit to my sisters home in 2006. She graciously took us around the island pointing out landmarks and giving me cliff notes of the history. We had a wonderful lunch at her club and I so enjoyed the time spent with her. Upon my return several years later we visited once again and used to exchange emails every Christmas wishing each the best of health, joy and peace for the upcoming year! I am very saddened to hear of her passing as she was one humble, gracious, kind lady and you both are lucky to have called her your mom!!

I had the honor and pleasure to be Honeys hairdresser the past six years. She charmed me with her gracious personality . Her life experiences fascinated me. I loved hearing her stories of the past and thoughts of current events. I will miss her sense of humor , smile and her musical way of talking . Such a beautiful, graceful, classy lady! There is a special place in my heart for Honey !

Dear Willa, Mark, grandchildren, family and friends, How proud and grateful to be blessed with Honey in our life. Beautiful, generous, loving, gracious, strong, thoughtful, kind, intelligent, fun-loving, wife, mother, grandmother, wonderful human being, who so enjoyed life but also endured heartbreaking tragedy. I remember how much fun she had riding around town in her Jaguar.... Two classics! When my mother was ill, Honey came over to the house to offer emotional and financial support which was and will always be appreciated. Honey is the example I use when anyone needs to hear some encouragement about how they can still live a longer, happier, healthy, productive life. Although, there is nothing that eases the sorrow for the loss of those who we love so deeply but time and love. Know you are loved and that we will be together again. My deepest condolences to Honey's children Mark and Willa. My sister Betty-Jane and I have not seen her for several years, but are deeply saddened by her loss. I will miss her kindness, wit and directness, as like her mother whom I also deeply cared for, she clearly spoke what was on her mind.
