Heidi Wong Obituary

HEIDI Y.H. WONG Heidi Y.H. Wong, 79, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on September 11, 2023, in Fort Worth, TX. She was born on February 1, 1944 in Taiwan. Heidi was resilient, stoic and loyal. Widowed with three young children, she faced challenges with strength and characteristic stubbornness. In the 80s, Heidi could be seen briskly navigating the alleyways of Waikiki, hopping from business to business, selling vegetables, making friends with everyone she met. She eventually owned a sundry store and again made fast friends. She is survived by daughters Carolyn and Jenny Wong, Wendy (Brad) Rhoads, grandchildren Jack and Malia and companion Bob Richards. Heidi was preceded in death by husband Franklin D.W. Wong. A celebratory lunch in honor of Heidi's life will be held on March 30, 2024 at 12:30. Please RSVP to [email protected] by March 22nd.
