HELENE MARIE SARGIS Helene Marie Sargis, age 101, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, in Honolulu, HI. Born on June 17, 1924, in Noumea, New Caledonia, Helene dedicated her life to her family and bringing warmth to all who knew her. A devout member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Honolulu, Helene's faith played a significant role in her life. Helene was a vibrant soul who loved entertaining and cherished moments spent on her lanai hosting dinner parties and singing with her dearest grandsons. Her home was always filled with music, laughter and love. She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Sargis Sweeny; son-in-law, Michael Sweeny; daughter-in-law, Sue Sargis; grandsons, Anthony and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Ocean, Ariele and Mahina, and the families of her dear niece, Marie-Paule and nephew, Henri in New Caledonia. Helene was preceded in death by her devoted husband, John J. Sargis, and beloved son, Robert J. Sargis. A funeral Mass to honor her legacy will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, on March 24, 2026, at 11:00 A.M, followed immediately by a private interment at The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific "Punchbowl".
