HERBERT WILLIAM KELIIKAHALOA RODRIGUES Herbert William Keliikahaloa Rodrigues, 80, was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margo Lum Rodrigues, three children: Kim Rodrigues-Ontai (Chaz Ontai), Jason Rodrigues (Candis Rodrigues), Dana-Lynn Rodrigues (Ikaika Ahu) and seven grandchildren: Azure, Avery and Athens Rodrigues, Kalele, Konapiliahi, Kamalei and Kalena Ahu. He is the first born child of Louis S. Rodrigues and Doris E. Kaopuiki Rodrigues and eldest of his siblings: Doreen Matthews (Calvin Matthews, deceased), Louis Rodrigues, Jr., deceased (Marian Rodrigues, deceased), Laverne Flores (Benedict Flores), Gwen Rodrigues and Wanda Chun (John "Honey Boy" Chun). Herbert attended Maryknoll Grade School, Roosevelt High School (1963) and retired from Hawaiian Tel-GTE-Verizon. He grew up in Papakolea and raised his family in their Hawai'i Kai home. He is best known for his sense of humor, legendary dad jokes and being able to help anyone fix anything. A true family man, storyteller, mechanic and handyman at heart. Herbert was happiest spending time with his wife, reading the newspaper together with their coffee, enjoying her famous cooking or eating at their favorite restaurants. He preferred to be outdoors, manicuring his yard, in the garage under the hood of one of his (many) vehicles, or spending time with his children and grand- children. Services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Sacred Heart Church, 1701 Wilder Ave. Public visitation from 9:45 a.m., Eulogy at 10:45 a.m. with Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Committal at Diamond Head Memorial Park.
