HERMAN FUJIMOTO Obituary

HERMAN SHIGEYUKI FUJIMOTO 95, of Waipahu, died on March 14, 2023 in Ewa Beach. He was born in Naalehu, Hawaii. Herman joined the U. S. Army at 18 and spent 20 years protecting his country. The next 20 years were spent as a civil servant at Fort Shafter. In retirement, he spent time meeting up with friends, traveling to Las Vegas and tending to his yard. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren, watching and guiding them as they grew into young adults. Herman, dad, grandpa, whoever you knew him as, lived a long and fulfilling life. He will be missed. Survived by daughter Karen (Roy) Shindo, son Steven, grandchildren Grant and Darcy Shindo, sister Evelyn Maddox, nieces and nephews. Private service held. Herman is inurned at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe.
