JAMES HARDY Obituary

JAMES EDWARD HARDY, SR., SKIPPA 77, was born on September 11, 1945 and raised in Waimanalo. He passed away at home on Molokai February 14, 2023. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, brother, and Uncle with good work ethics. He was a journeyman ironworker with Associated Steel, a firefighter stationed at Kalihi Fire Station and finally a Strad Driver at Matson Navigation where he retired after 27 years. Skip will always be remembered as a hardworking man who enjoyed pau hana times with family and friends. He was predeceased in death by son John Hardy, sisters Hauoli and Jan Hardy, and brother Frankie Sera. He is survived by his wife Eileen (Bunny) of 59 years, sons James Jr. (Andrea), Shannon (Kristy) and daughter Michelle (Robert) Lau. Brothers Roland "Fats" (Nani), Kevin Sera, Bobby Bell (Karen), Robert and Clint Hardy. Sisters Waltraud (Wally) Leslie, Nani Lee (Duke), Anuhea Sera, Katsu Sera and Drue-Ann Sherry and Gay Hardy, 11 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. Private Services.
