JAMES TEIXEIRA Obituary

JAMES SOUZA TEIXEIRA 83, of Waipahu passed away on January 18, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Born to Manuel & Lucille Teixeira on June 26, 1940, and raised in Palolo/Hawaii Kai, his strong work ethic and passion as a master swimming pool builder led to a distinguished career, retiring in 2018 as VP/Partner of C&J Contracting. Affectionately known as "Jimmy T", he welcomed you with a smile and his firm 'squeeze' handshake. He loved singing country songs and classics, racing hot rods, watching football and boxing, travelling the world, and celebrating with family and friends. He lived a full, happy life...his way. Part of a close-knit family of 11 children, he is cherished by sisters Geraldine (Peter) Kinores and Cecilia (Michael) Carvalho; and is reunited with siblings Pearl Anduha, Donald, Bernice Belaski, Herbert, Louise "Girlie" Arellano, Robert, William "Butch" and Clyde. Jimmy was blessed with love twice: first marrying Sarah Meyer, their children Sarah Ann (Kevin) Liborio, Mark James (Robin), Laureen (Garnet) Lever; then with second wife and longtime companion Lorraine, their children Brian "Buddy" (Jessica), James "Joey", Travis Souza. His memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones. Together, his children have planned a Celebration of Life on March 15, 2024, 6 to 10pm, B-SIDE Ward Centre, 1240 Ala Moana Blvd #200. Inurnment service will be at O'ahu Cemetery on a later date.
