JANE SASAKI Obituary

JANE TAKEYO SASAKI May 4, 1921 August 7, 2023 Our beloved Mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at Saint Francis Hospice. Mom was a sincere, warm-hearted, kind, 102 years old lady, talented seamstress and a terrific cook. She took daily walks, was active with her church, loved to travel, enjoyed going to the UH wahine volleyball games and spending time with her family and friends. She was married to Ernest T. Sasaki for 44 wonderful years. She is survived by her children, Susan (Lawrence) Goya, Carolyn (Dexter) Onaga and Keith (Deborah) Sasaki; 4 grandchildren (Lauren, Del, Dawn-Marie and Kyle); 3 great- grandsons (Braeden, Logan and Ko) and sister Eleanor Nishi. Mom was one of the first Centenarian's featured on KHON news accomplishing her goal of riding the Skyline. Mahalo to her awesome caregivers Roland and Marina Manuel and their daughter Rowena who made Mom's stay at their home very comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you very much Mom for the love, kindness and wonderful memories you gave us. A private celebration of her life was held on November 8, 2023.
