Jennie Phillips Obituary

JENNIE LOU LYONS PHILLIPS 94, passed away peacefully at her home in Kailua on October 23, 2024 following an extended illness. Jennie was born on December 31, 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio to Helen Frazier Lyons and John Lyons. After completing primary studies, Jennie attended Laurel School in Shaker Heights, Ohio where she completed her education. Jennie and her mother moved to Kailua in 1962 where Jennie met Maurice Roy Phillips. Jennie and Maurice were married in 1963 and resided together in Kailua until 1999 when Maurice passed away. For many years, Jennie enjoyed traveling with Maurice and friends as well as swimming/walking on Kailua Beach with her dogs. Jennie, and her much-loved companion, Rufus, a 10year old chihuahua, will surely be missed on Kailua Beach. Jennie has requested a private service with scattering of ashes in Kailua Bay.
