Sorry to hear of his passing..
Jim was one of my
Best friend 1970-71 while working at Records Hawaii and his roomate .
I went back a few times visit
In early 2000´s I brought my daughter and she Met him.
I represent arists, produce music festivals, and opened my mother´s old Modern Records shop in Portsmouth NH
Once in a blue moon people come in from Hawaii, etc and buy Hawaiian records !!
Would love to keep in touch ..
I´m not sure how to write back and thank your daughter who contacted me a few months back.. it´s been in my mind

Jim was a wonderful friend and partner for many years with his incredible array of musical talent, his sense of humor, his willingness to work with us on many projects at KHNL and KFVE. I will never forget when I introduce him to a couple of young, aspiring musicians and he turned their quality home recording into Hoku Awards' magic. The group was Pali.
We'll miss you Jim, but your legacy lives on through your family, friends, and incredible local music catalogue.

We were privileged to record several projects with Jim and will miss him dearly. He is with our Heavenly Father now and enjoying the music of our greatest Hawaiian musicians Pops, Peter, Boz, Macky, Malani and sitting next to Krash!!!!! iesu pu chucky boy & Hawaiian boy

Great friend and inspiration for me becoming an Exalted Ruler with Elks Lodge #2230 in Kailua. I will miss him greatly! See you over the Rainbow Jim.
