JOE DOI Obituary

JOE DOI 96, of Aiea, passed away peacefully on October 23rd. He loved to golf, take trips to Vegas and spend time with his grandchildren, great- grandchildren, family and friends. He worked for 43 years as an office manager for American Electric and retired in October of 1996. He grew up in Hilo, Hawaii and loved playing sports excelling at basketball as Hilo was interisland champs for all 3 years he played. He is predeceased by his parents, wife Momoyo and his two brothers, Hiromu and Mamoru. Joe is survived by his sister Michan (Bob), children Derrick (Betty) and Shannon Sakurai (Ray), grandchildren Matt Doi (Caitlin), Janelle Woodcock (Keith), Brent Sakurai, Jonny Sakurai (Jen), Derrah Sakurai (Cal Sato), sister-in-laws, and nieces, nephews and numerous great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Mililani Mortuary, Mauka Chapel, on Wednesday, December 27th. Visitation at 5 pm followed by Service at 6:30 pm. Casual attire.
