John Hill Obituary

JOHN MARVIN HILL Born May 4, 1941 in Opelika, Alabama. John is the oldest son of Stanford and Sara Hill. John went to join his wife Adele in Paradise with Jesus gently on Sunday, October 29, 2023. He is survived by his son John Gestrich (Desiree), Grandchildren Jordan, Jurnee Mattis (JJ), and Damien. And lastly his younger brother Hershel Hill (Patsy) from Lynn Haven, FL. John lived most of his life on the island of Oahu, calling it home for over fifty years. It's where he met the love of his life Adele. They enjoyed spending their time with family, cruising around the island on the weekends, and checking out all the spots on the shores of Oahu. John was a Carpenter by trade and always loved lending a hand to anyone who'd ask. His favorite thing to do was fishing, all types of fishing, but most of his fondest memories were out on the ocean pulling in a Marlin or Mahi Mahi! But in the last couple decades John found his greatest joy in serving his wife, his family and his church. He very much enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up! John had a pure heart and a distinct voice that will surely be missed! Urn services to be held on Saturday, December 9, 1130-1 at Kapahulu Bible Church, 3224 Kaunaoa St., Honolulu.
