I coached at Palama Settlement with John in 1969,1970,and 1975. One of the absolute best experiences of my life. His loving discipline helped boys become men. John, along with Dr. Erlene Chambers created a learning experience, that combined sports with academics. Team meals after practice, cleanup then study hall. John you will always be in my heart. In 1976, John Sharp's Pop Warner Palama Scorpions beat a High Scool Team on The Zuni Indian Reservation in Zuni New Mexico. It was never recorded, but for those that were there, It Is a feat that was never done at anytime before it happened or ever again. God Bless This man to change the lives of many. He was A True Father Figure for Us All. AHUIHO AND ALOHA NO KAKOU COACH. Mahalo Mr John cause you were truly Sharp as your name preceded You!!! Amene Hallelujah Shalom for all your service to your fellow man.
