During the dark days of WWII Japanese Americans were illegally forced into interment camps. Joy Teraoka, a gifted fifteen year old auditioned and was selected for the singer of a swing band made up of professional and talented amateurs, all of whom were imprisoned at the Heart Mountain Internment Camp.
