JULIA AH LUKE CHUN Julia Ah Luke Chun, 93, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, at her home in Ewa Beach, Hawaii. Born on June 11, 1932, in Ookala on the island of Hawaii to Ung Ah Look and Mary Okinu Nishimura, Julia was one of nineteen siblings. After graduating from high school, she moved to Honolulu to work as a nurse. She later married her husband, Rodney, in 1954, becoming a devoted military spouse, full-time homemaker, and caregiver to her seven children and many grandchildren. She dedicated her life to God and her family. She is survived by daughter Julie Lee (Greg), sons Rodney Chun, Robert Chun (Debbie), Ronald Chun (Myong), Roger Chun (Sonya), Christopher Chun (Lisa), daughter Catherine Lopez (Dennis); grand- children, Nicholas, Scott, and Sean Lee, Jeffrey, Janis, Derrick, Cherisse, Noah and Sabrina Chun, Reagan and Isabella Lopez; and 4 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, located at 91-1004 North Road in Ewa Beach. Visitation begins at 9:00 a.m., Eulogy at 10:45 a.m., and Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Punchbowl National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
