Koon Ching Obituary

KOON YOY CHING It is with great sorrow that the family of Koon Yoy Ching (affectionately known as "K.Y." to family and friends) announce his passing at age 95, following a long illness. A graduate of Punahou High School, K.Y. joined the U.S. Army immediately after high school. He graduated from Kent State University in 1952 and worked for more than 30 years as a Senior Right-of-Way Agent for the State of Hawaii until his retirement in 1992. K.Y. is preceded in death by his parents, Tai You Ching (father) and In Wong (mother), and two brothers, Koon Sut Ching and Koon Imm Ching. K.Y. is survived by his loving wife, Adrienne, and daughter, Cara. He is blessed with two grandsons, Brandon and Ryan Senaha, and many family members and friends who will forever love, miss and remember his kindness, generosity, and strength of character.
