LEATRICE KAWANA Obituary

LEATRICE MIEKO KAWANA Leatrice Mieko Kawana, 89, of Pearl City, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025 while listening to her grand- daughter's voice. She was born in Honolulu as one of six sisters and was a retired Honolulu Police Department court reporter. Leatrice was known to lovingly take care of many children while their parents were at work and to steer people in the right direction through life, essentially treating them as her own kids. She is survived by her husband, Clarence Kawana, her son, Creighton Kawana (Cherilyn), her granddaughter, Caitlyn Kawana, and two of her sisters, Alice Ikenaga and Theodine Hirai. Memorial Services: Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Visitation: Saturday, November 8, 2025 @ 5:30 pm; Service: 6:30 pm. The attire for the for services is Aloha Attire and the family is requesting no monetary offerings.
