Leroy DeCaires Obituary

LEROY EARL DECAIRES Leroy Earl DeCaires, 82, passed away on September 15, 2025, in Kaneohe, Hawai'i. He was born November 28, 1942, the son of Manuel and Margaret DeCaires.Leroy is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Kathleen DeCaires. Leroy was proud of his 50 years of service with Hawaiian Dredging and Albert C. Kobayashi, where he held various roles as a Skilled Trade Worker and Foreman. Some of the remarkable projects he helped build still stand tall today, a lasting testament to his dedication and craftsmanship. In his personal life, his creativity shone through his artwork. He also had a deep and enduring love for animals. Leroy is survived by his children; Roy (Pua) and Margaret (Richard) DeCaires; two grandchildren, Ava and Bronson DeCaires; and three siblings, Wayne DeCaires, Novalene Asing, and Leona DeCaires.
