LOIS LANI LEILANI YUKIE DONNELLY Lois "Lani" Leilani Yukie Donnelly died on Monday, December 23, 2024, in Sammamish, Washington, at the age of 73. She was born on January 7, 1951, in Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii, at Kapiolani Maternity Hospital to Milton Yamamoto and Sueko Fujiki, both of Hilo, Hawaii. Lani valued her Hawaiian roots and the culture that shaped her values and sense of identity. She also honored her family's strong tradition of military service, including those who served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. She carried this legacy of resilience and dedication throughout her life. Lani is survived by her husband, John Donnelly, brother, Randy Yamamoto, sister, Mona Kato and her four children, Michele Burlington, Robin Kato, Rina Kato, Jason Kato and her five grandchildren, Mia, Tai, Maddie, Emi and Bradley, who continue to uphold the values she instilled in them of the importance of family, service, and living with aloha.
