Lorraine Williams Obituary

LORRAINE BROWNEE LEINA'ALA WILLIAMS Age 96 of Honolulu, Hawaii, sadly left us January 4, 2023, after a short illness. Brownee, as she was so fondly known, lived a long and vibrant life. She was very loved and will be missed. Brownee was very active in her younger years enjoying paddling for the Outrigger Canoe Club and Hui Nalo. She also enjoyed playing tennis with her friends at the Niu Valley Courts which she considered her country club. In her later years, Brownee was lucky to travel the world with her closest friend and her niece. They had lots of adventures and met many new people on their travels. Everyone who knew her knew how special she was. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and was affectionally called "Puna" by them. There was always a twinkle in her eye and she loved to laugh and have fun. When she was 90, she moved to Boise, Idaho to be near her older son and his family. She thoroughly enjoyed her time in a completely new place which was another adventure for her. However, the Islands were always her home. Brownee was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Williams, her parents, and her brother, Charlie. She is survived by her three children: Steve, Ted, and Matt, their wives and six grandchildren: Erin, Kahea, Noah, Helena, Josh, Jessie, and three great grandchildren. A private family service will be held.
