LOUIS HAO Obituary

LOUIS LUI HAO JR. 90, of Hilo, formerly Molokai & Maui passed away on June 20, 2025 @ Hilo Hospital. He was born in Kealakekua, South Kona, Hawaii. He was MVP for Hilo High Vikings in his senior year 1953. His coach & mentor Ah Chew Goo. He devoted 40 years to Government Service and to his community. Executive Director for Hui Malama Ola Na 'Oiwi, in Hilo. District Manager for the Department of Hawaiian Homes Land (DHHL), in Hilo. OHA Trustee for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs in Molokai, OHA Trustee for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs in Maui. Administrator for the City & County of Maui on Molokai. Executive Assistant to Mayor's Apana, Lingle, Tavares & Cravalho. He is survived by his children, 4 daughters: Bambi Lynn Kanani Eaton-Hao (Calvin), Tracy Ann Kapua Hao, Lesly Mae Kalei Brittain (Matthew), Terry Lee Kala Chapman (Carl); his brother Lawrence K. Hao; former wife, Constance I. (Kaukini) Hao. 12 Grandchildren and 19 Great- Grandchildren.
