LOUIS SONNY YOSHIO SARDINHA Louis (Sonny) Yoshio Sardinha, 88, of Kapolei, Hawaii, passed away peacefully at Home under Hospice Care on August 19, 2024, with Lucille Chang, loving spouse and family members by his side including fur baby Hoku Lei. He was born on May 18, 1936, in Wailuku, Maui. He attended Saint Anthony Maui Catholic School from Kindergarten to Senior year, graduating in 1956. Sonny worked over 65 years in Construction, Trucking, Paving, and Shipping Industries. He enjoyed working with wonderful people whom he shared long lasting friendships and made many cherish happy memories at Dillingham Corporation, Hawaiian Bitumuls, Pan Pacific Construction, Arakaki Trucking, Sealand Shipping lines, Horizon lines and final retirement at Hawaii Stevedores. He lived his life sharing the Aloha Spirit with Family, Friends, Co-workers and Strangers who became lifelong friends. He shared his love of coaching men's fast pitch baseball, Bowling in leagues and golfing with his buddies. He was the second of Seven children of Valentine and Rosaline Sardinha both deceased. Predeceased by sisters Rose Joaquin, Nancy Gutto, brothers Rodney Sardinha, Tommy Sardinha, and Stanley Sardinha. He is survived by his wife Lucille Chang, his daughter Lisa Meimandi and his son Lorrin Sardinha, his sister Cathy Nishida, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, God Daughter Kelsey Chang and fur baby Hoku Lei, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Also, survived by extended family care givers, Sing, Josie, and Mark Lacsina-Cunanan, Mike and Mynele Rambaud. Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 14, at Diamondhead Mortuary at 535 18th Avenue, Honolulu. Visitation at 10:30 AM, Service at 11:30 AM and lunch to follow at 12:30 PM.
