LUKE BECHARD Obituary

LUKE JOSEPH BECHARD Age 67, a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend entered into eternal rest on September 23, 2023, in Waipahu. Born November 12, 1955, in Plattsburg, New York, Luke came to Hawaii in 1982, and soon embodied the aloha spirit with his kindness and generosity. He worked as an electrician, and served as an electrical inspector with the City and County of Honolulu from 1990 through 2013. His hobbies included riding his Harley he rode across the mainland in 1982 playing guitar, and tinkering and fixing seemingly everything. His passions were his family and his Christian faith. In 1985, Luke met the woman who would become the love of his life. Suli and Luke were married in September 1986. He is survived by his wife, Suli; sons Benjamin, Aaron (Jodie), Nesi (Maria); daughter, Ana (Michael Cameron) Burns; grandchildren: Mia, Lily, Aria, Bree, Ezra and Jubilee. He also leaves behind sisters: Joan Sequin, Therese Fosher, Maria (Robert) Fosher; and brothers Raymond (Margaret) and Bryan (Annie). He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Agnes. A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the Honolulu Japanese SDA Church at 2655 Manoa Road. Viewing: 4:00 p.m., Service: 5:00 p.m., with reception to follow. Burial will be held Monday, the 23rd, at 1:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park.
