LYDIA JACKIE MOANA MALINA August 20, 1942 - February 27, 2026 Honolulu, Hawai'i It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunty, and friend, who peacefully passed away on February 27, 2026, in Waimanalo, Hawai'i. She was a talented artist from a young age, known for her beautiful oil paintings and creative spirit. Throughout her life she made a living creating one-of-a-kind, high-end Hawaiian arts and crafts, including dolls, ornaments, ceramics, and many other treasured pieces. Her work reflected her love for Hawai'i, culture, and creativity. She was also a hardworking woman, spending years working in landscaping at local nurseries. Later in life, she retired from the City and County of Honolulu, where she continued to give back to the community as an attendant at the Waimanalo Gym and Recreation Center. She cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren above all else and was known lovingly to them as "Tutu." She is survived by her loving husband Calvin L. Malina, Sr., her children Calvin L. Malina Jr. (Bertha "Kui"), Belle M. Malina, and Carolyn L. Johnson (Jason); along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, one brother, and her two sisters.
