Mailo Salcur Obituary

MAILO WES SALCUR Mailo Wes Salcur passed away at home on January 10, 2024 after a 3 year battle with cancer. Born February 11, 1972, Mailo grew up in Pauoa and found a love of football early in life, playing throughout elementary and high school. Mailo attended Kamehameha School for 11 years but graduated from McKinley High School in 1990. He and his classmates still consider him a Warrior, class of 1990. Mailo loved his family and friends, and he never met a stranger. He found ways to connect with people, often through his devotion to the Raiders. Mailo was a part of the Ferguson Lighting and Kitchen family for 13 years. Mailo was the son of Curtiss Macy Salcur and Glenda Salcur, brother of Mano Salcur and Glen Salcur and their families, Papa to Boo, and beloved husband of Katherine Alau-Salcur, the love of his life and wife of 12 years. Mailo's celebration of life and visitation will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 3-7 PM at Oahu Mortuary. This will be a celebration, and we hope you will share your memories and music if you would like. In honor of Mailo's favorite team, we invite you to wear Raiders attire or black, white, gray, or silver. Raider until I die, even as I gain my wings and fly. Arrangements Provided By: Oahu Mortuary
