Marcus Inamine Obituary

MARCUS STUART INAMINE Marcus Stuart Inamine, 55 years old, passed away peacefully at home on May 31, 2025 surrounded by family. He was taken away too soon. He outlived the doctor's expectations in his battle with cancer. He fought hard but he bravely lost in the end. He was born in Honolulu Hawaii, one of an identical set of twins. There are many humorous stories of mistaken identity. They enjoyed fooling the adults but their friends could tell them apart! His favorite activities were fishing, hunting, crabbing, and riding motorcycles with his bike friends and socializing. Marcus grew up in Hawaii Kai and graduated from Kaiser High and University of Hawaii at Manoa. He majored in Business Management. He was a hard worker and sometimes held three jobs at the same time. He lived twelve years in Thailand, teaching English and coaching life skills. Later in his career, Marcus returned to Hawaii with his family and worked in sales in the healthcare industry. He won national recognition for his work. He was a loving husband to Kik, father to Haku, son to Wayne and Sharon, twin brother to Malcolm and uncle to Mason and Colton. He loved to take Haku fishing, crabbing and doing water/ocean activities. At a young age, he and Malcolm went night diving with their "uncles." He had many friends from all aspects of life. He was comfortable in any social setting. Marcus kept a daily blog of his battle with cancer on his Facebook. It was followed by many people. They were amazed at how positive he remained no matter how badly he felt. He hoped he helped people as he shared his story. Arrangements Provided By: Hosoi Garden Mortuary
