MARIAN MOODY Obituary

MARIAN STARK WOODWARD MOODY August 5, 1931- September 4, 2023 She died at home, surrounded by family. Proceeded in death by her husband Ross Moody, her Father, Charles Woodward, her Mother, Mary Ann Stark, her Brothers, Sanford, Jay, Frank, Jim, Ralph, and Alma Woodward, her Sister, Norma Woodward, her Son, Max Moody, and her Grandson, Marc Moody. Survived by her Son, Lyle (Dawna), Daughters, Coco (Steve), Anna (John), Susan (Mark), and Sara (Dale), 25 Grandchildren and 56 Great-Grandchildren. Marian was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. Graduated from East High School in 1948, earned a BS in Elementary Education with a Minor in Music from U of U in 1952. Married the love of her life, Ross Moody, a Civil Engineer from Hawaii on August 2, 1952 in the Laie, Hawaii Temple. She moved with Ross to Honolulu where they raised their family and lived out their lives. Her family was her main focus throughout her life. She enjoyed being intimately involved in all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren's lives. Community Involvement - She held many different positions in the Kahala and Waialua Wards in the LDS church, she and Ross served two Service Missions for the Church in the Genealogy Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, and she was very active in her church and throughout her community, performing service at every opportunity. Interment will be on Tuesday, September 12 at 2 PM at Hawaiian Memorial Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life from 6-8 PM that evening at the Moody Fale at 68-399 Kikou St. in Waialua.
