MARIE-YOLANDE FULLER Obituary

MARIE-YOLANDE G. FULLER With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marie-Yolande G. Fuller, known as "Gigi" by her family, friends, and clients. A devoted loving and caring companion, Gigi passed away peacefully at home on October 20, 2024, at the age of 62, with her companion Keith at her side. In September of 2022, she was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), and she fought and struggled with this disease until her last breath. Born on November 4, 1961 in Saint-Jean Sur Richelieu, Montreal, Canada, to Antoine and Carmen Depelteau. While living in Honolulu, she worked at Chuck's Cellar, Big Island Steakhouse, and as a bartendress at Coasters. Because of her fluency in French, she worked on cruise ships that traveled to and from Tahiti. She transitioned into the life insurance and financial planning business, and became a Certified Financial Advisor and worked for New York Life, New England Life, Met Life, and Mass Mutual Life. She was very dedicated and committed to focusing, servicing, and meeting the needs and goals of her clients. During this same period of time, she was also employed by Waialae Country Club as a server and bartendress. Gigi is survived by her companion Keith P. Williams, sisters Lise and Diane Depelteau of Montreal, Canada. She also leaves behind cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends who will miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers, all donations will be given to the ALS Network (Hawaii) and Navian Hawaii, in memory of Gigi. Gigi will be profoundly missed, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. We will always remember her presence at gatherings, and her love for a glass of chardonnay. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on November 16, 2024, at the home of Kanaina and Sandi Halualani located at 46-251 Haiku Road, Kaneohe from 11:00am with the service starting at 12:00noon.
