Martin Velasquez Obituary

Martin Velasquez, a beacon of love and laughter, left this world for a peaceful rest on November 24, 2025, in Kyle, Texas, at the age of 63. Born on November 12, 1962, in San Marcos, Texas, Martin's journey through life was marked by dedication to his family, a passion for the outdoors, and an unwavering faith.

Martin married his soulmate, Rita Romero, on a beautiful spring day, May 26, 1988, at his parents' home in Kyle, Texas. Together, they nurtured a family filled with love and joy. Their union was blessed with two wonderful children, Bianca Ledesma (Jonathan) and Marcos Velasquez (Amber), who in turn gave Martin the gift of being a grandfather to Constantine, Roxanne, Enzo, and Kayson. These little ones were the apples of his eye, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

A brother to Raymond Velasquez (Anita) and a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, Martin's family circle was a source of immense happiness. He was preceded in death by his caring parents, Galdino and Mary Velasquez, and his siblings, Belia Velasquez, Gloria Gonzalez, and Carlos Velasquez, who welcomed him with open arms into eternal life.

Martin's early education took place at Hays High School in Kyle, TX, where he formed lifelong friendships and a strong sense of community. He then dedicated over 30 years of service as a Service Technician with TruGreen Chem Lawn, based out of Round Rock, where his hard work, dedication, and friendly demeanor were well-known and appreciated.

A devout Christian, Martin lived his faith through acts of kindness and an open heart. He found solace in the teachings of Christ and was a supportive member of his church community, embodying the virtues of compassion and charity in his daily life.

An avid golfer and fisherman, Martin relished the calmness of the green and the serenity of the water. His love for sports extended to cheering on his favorite teams, the Longhorns and the Cowboys, offering him many enjoyable weekends filled with excitement and camaraderie.

Above all, Martin was the epitome of a loving, funny, and selfless man. His humor brought smiles to countless faces, and his selflessness ensured that those around him felt valued and cared for. Martin's love for his family was unparalleled; they always came first, and his actions reflected this priority every single day.

Martin Velasquez's legacy of love, laughter, and selfless devotion will live on through the cherished memories he created with his loved ones. As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, we take comfort in the knowledge that his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us for generations to come.
