MICHAEL THOMAS MATHER Michael Mather, 75, died on July 20th, 2023, at his family's home in Phoenix, Arizona after a long battle with cancer. Mike was preceded in death by his parents Hamilton and Hazeline Mather, his brother Patrick, his sister Janice and his first wife Sydney Mather. Survived by sisters Terry, Lotus and Nola, wife, Susan, his children: James, Matthew, Lisa, Luke and Jake, their spouses: Katie, Crystal, Justin and Megan and 8 wonderful grandchildren: Rebecca, Christian, Alexis, Destiny, Kai, Ethan, Leonardo and Hudson. Mike was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. A graduate of the University of Hawaii, he worked as a CPA in Hawaii and Arizona. Mike opened his own CPA practice in 1988 in Phoenix, Arizona. After retiring Mike enjoyed living part time in Crown King, Arizona where he became active in the Crown King Fire Dept and the Road District. It was easy to enjoy Mike's clever wit and contagious laugh, whether he was at work or hanging out on the patio with family and friends. Best Husband, Father, Father-in-Law, Brother and Papa. He will be greatly missed and toasted often by all his friends and loved ones. A celebration of life is being planned for later this year.
