Michelle Imata Obituary

MICHELLE CHIYE IMATA 70, passed away on March 25, 2023 at 15 Craigside. She was born in Honolulu and grew up in Manoa Valley. She graduated from Roosevelt High School, the University of Hawaii with a degree in English, and the University of California Davis, King Hall School of Law with a Juris Doctorate in 1978. She thereafter worked as general legal counsel at Pioneer Saving & Loan and State Savings & Loan before joining Carlsmith Ball in 1985 where she eventually served as the firm's managing partner for many years. She is survived by her sister Joanne (Michael) Kobayashi and nieces Tracie (Cameron) Black and Julie (Brannon) Pang and their families. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. followed by service at 11:00 a.m. No koden. Masks required.
