Mitsuko Higa Obituary

MITSUKO HIGA Mitsuko Higa, age 86, of Kaneohe, peacefully went to live with the Lord on Thursday, February 2, 2023. She was born the youngest of 12 children on February 10, 1936 in Pepeekeo, Hawaii. Mits was loved by everyone she met, always placing others before herself. She was an Elementary School Teacher who taught for 30+ years at Hickam, Kapunahala Elementary, and Waimanalo School. She continues her teaching and reverence for life by participating in the University of Hawaii Willed Body Program. Mitsuko is survived by her husband of 62 years, George Higa, 3 children, Kyle Higa, Sheri (John) Preston, and Stacy (Brian) Sanders, 3 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life for Mitsuko will take place on March 25, 2023 @ 10am at the Windward Church of the Nazarene in Kaneohe. Visitation is at 9:30 am.
