Mokihana Flood Obituary

MOKIHANA CATHERINE FLOOD, MIKI Mokihana Catherine Flood, a beloved daughter of Hawai'i, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024, at the age of 63. Born in Honolulu on December 6, 1960, Mokihana was a gifted Hawaiian musician celebrated for her mastery of the slack key guitar. Her music carried the essence of her heritage, bringing joy and healing to all who heard it. Mokihana lived a life full of love and aloha, dedicating herself to music, family, and caring for others. She had a profound love for animals and people and found her greatest joy as the devoted mother of her two sons, Hikiaumoana Flood and Kaiminaauao Kahikina, and as a proud grandmother to Kilinahe Flood and Mehana Flood. She is also survived by her siblings: Kealii Flood, Napualani Wong, Kealani LaBrie, Kekoa Flood, and Pomaikai Victorino. Mokihana's kindness, warmth, and music leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of those who knew her. A private memorial service was held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Paradise Park in Manoa, where family and close friends gathered to honor Mokihana's life and celebrate her enduring spirit.
