MONA JEAN LAULI`I HALL NEILL Mona Jean Lauli`i Neill, 71, of Honolulu, was born on August 29, 1954, and passed away on November 11, 2025. She is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, John "Moku" Neill; 7 children; 17 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 6 great- great-grandchildren; one sister; and three brothers. Mona lived a life of quiet strength and endless love. She worked hard and led by example, breaking barriers as the first female power plant operator at Hawaiian Electric, later working at Slim's Power Tools, and retiring as a 911 operator with the Honolulu Police Department. In 1994, she was selected as Mo`i Wahine of the Aloha Festivals Royal Court, a role that reflected her pride in her heritage. A proud graduate of Kamehameha Schools, Mona carried the values of aloha and community throughout her life. She was the heart and soul of her family. Her laughter could fill a room, her love knew no limits, and her presence brought comfort and joy to everyone around her. Mona touched generations with her kindness, strength, and aloha, and her memory will live on in every smile, every song, and every gathering of those who loved her. Services will be held at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel on Sunday, December 14. Visitation at 9:00 a.m., service at 10:00 a.m., with food to follow.
