NANCY ALUETA Obituary

NANCY M. ALUETA 88, of Kahului died on Friday, July 19, 2024 at her home. She was born on June 18, 1936 to Arlene and Wilbur McCown in Hancock, Iowa. She graduated from Oakland High School in 1954 and was named Class Valedictorian. Nancy attended the University of Colorado and the State University of Iowa, where she studied Dental Hygiene and earned her degree in 1958. Her first dental hygienist job was with the Denver Public School system. In 1961, she boarded Matson's S.S. Lurline and headed to Hawaii to continue working as a Dental Hygienist. She married Lino Alueta on December 21,1963 and they had three children. Nancy worked as a Dental Hygienist in both public and private practice for the majority of her career. Nancy was a dedicated member of Wailuku Union Church for more than 50 years. She was a volunteer at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, traveled frequently, and enjoyed time with her family. Nancy is survived by her son Francis (Michele), daughter Marie, and son Joseph (Shannon); as well as grandchildren Christian, Sean (Trevor), Connor, Bailey and Sai. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Visitation will begin at 4 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 4:30 pm on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Wailuku Union Church. A private interment will be held separately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Wailuku Union Church's Food Pantry.

I´m so sorry for the loss of your family member, Nancy. I don´t know your family however felt a connection in reading her
