Nancy Unemori Obituary

NANCY SHIZUKO YAMAGATA UNEMORI Nancy Shizuko Yamagata Unemori (98) of Kaunakakai, Molokai, was born on August 29, 1924 in Kapaa, Kauai, the eldest of 7 children and passed away peacefully on June 4, 2023. She married Hisashi "Fats" Unemori (dec.) and moved to Molokai in 1958. Together they raised 5 children, Alison (Warren) Yasuda, Kevin (Lynne) Unemori, Jeffrey Unemori (dec.), Kathleen (Rod) Wong and Scott Unemori (dec.). She was blessed with 6 grand- children and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Janet (Isamu) Yoshishige and Leatrice Tanaka. We will always cherish and remember her for her genuine kindness and unconditional love and aloha for all. A Celebration of Life Service was held on July 24, 2023 at Grace Episcopal Church, Hoolehua, Molokai and she was laid to rest at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific on July 25, 2023.
