Nelson Moku Obituary

NELSON KEKAI MOKU, JR. It is with much Aloha and sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved son, husband, father, papa, and friend. Nelson Kekai Moku, Jr. passed away on October 26, 2020, in Ewa Beach. Nelson is survived by his wife Marilyn (Lyn Nobrega) Moku; former wife Cris Moku; son Nelson (Jennifer) Kekai Moku III; daughters Robyn K. Moku (Keoho Lewis), and Jamie (Walter) Lyn Kealoha ; 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; brothers Byron (Nani) Moku, Blaine (Tomoko) Moku, Keith (Jacquie) Moku and many nieces and nephews. Nelson graduated from Kamehameha Schools ('63) and attended the University of Arizona. Among his vocations, he was with Saint Louis Alumni Clubhouse, Hawaii Protective Association, SHOPO (State of Hawaii Organization of Police Officers), HGEA (Hawaii Government Employee's Association), UPW (United Public Workers), Sheraton Waikiki, and Hawaii Job Corps. He coached Pop Warner Football, was a dormitory adviser at Kamehameha Schools and coached junior varsity and varsity football for the schools. He played handball and was best known as a fiercely competitive racquetball player. A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the Bishop Memorial Chapel of the Kamehameha Schools, Kapalama Campus. Visitation 9:30 a.m.; Services 10:30 a.m.
