Norman Metcalf Obituary

NORMAN RED LEWIS METCALF Red was born 05/28/1935 in Wellington Kansas and Died 10/22/2025 at home, in Carson City, NV. Red and JoAn moved to Hawaii to work for Charles Pankow Builders as a Project Superintendent. He built many amazing structures in the Islands including Century Center, Waikiki Landmark and the Sheraton Waikoloa. In 1993, they retired and moved to Carson City, NV and then in 1994 Red and Tom founded Metcalf Builders. They built MBI into a prominent local general contractor before Red retired again in 2008. Red was preceded in death by JoAn and his older brother Ray. He is survived by his sister Nancy, his children Tom (Rhonda) and Teresa (Kirk Lyon), 5 grand- children and 4 great-grandchildren. There will be a celebration of life on January 24, 2026 in Carson City, NV. at Red's Old 395 in Carson City from 11:00am until 1:00pm.
