PANCHO SANTOS Obituary

PANCHO CORDERO (DUHAYLONSOD) DELOS SANTOS My beloved husband, Pancho Cordero Delos Santos, 65, of Honolulu, passed away on January 4, 2026, at Straub Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawai'i, surrounded by family, relatives, and friends. He was born on February 28, 1960, in Kahului, Maui, Hawai'i. Pancho was a graduate of St. Anthony School in Wailuku, Maui, and earned his bachelor's degree in English from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. He retired after more than three decades of service as an educational and academic support specialist at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. Pancho was married to Jenny Duhaylonsod Delos Santos, a former editorial clerk in the newsroom for nearly 17 years at the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, formerly known as the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. He was preceded in death by his stepchildren, Charles Bullbuck Simms and Christina Remie Rose Simms, who passed away six years ago. He is survived by his brother, Danny Cordero Delos Santos; sister-in-law, Bernie Felicilda Delos Santos; nieces Ashley Delos Santos and her significant other, Jason Hickey; and Lesley and Keahi Masusako and their children, Ronin and Rain. He is also survived by hanai brother Ireneo Cordero and his wife, Renee. Funeral services for Pancho Delos Santos will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the Newman Center Holy Spirit Parish, 1941 East-West Road, Honolulu. Family viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by public viewing at 9:30 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will be provided following the Mass. Burial will take place at a later date.
