PATRICK LOUIS BROWN Patrick Louis Brown, 79, of Kailua, HI, died July 20, 2023. He was born in Rhineland, TX to William and Rosa (Verhalen) Brown and raised in Paris, AK. After serving in the Vietnam War and receiving a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado, he worked for the U.S. Navy and USAID. In retirement he taught Bridge classes on Oahu with his wife, Mardi. He is survived by his wife Margaret "Mardi"; children Todd, Tony, Laura, Tara and their families; his siblings Stan Brown, Dolores Neumeier, Rose Mary Pels and Sharon Pohlmeier. He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Anthony, Margaret "Peggy" and Beth Lensing. He will be greatly missed for his contributions to his extensive family and community. Pat was always such a kind person. Even though we were separated by great distance most of our lives after he graduated from high school, we kept in touch. What a tremendous blessing it was to hear his voice and be able to tell him I loved him just two days before his death. My love to Mardi and their family.
