Patrick McIlroy Obituary

PATRICK THOMAS TOMMY MCILROY Born on January 22, 1941 in New Rochelle, NY, Tommy passed away in Kailua on January 9, 2025. He is survived by his wife Cheryl and children Jeffrey (Ellen) and Tracy (Charles) and 3 grandchildren, Kayla, Dylan and London. Tommy graduated from Danbury High School in Connecticut and Danbury State College, and later received a Masters Degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He had a career in the USAF for 22 years, retiring as a Lt. Colonel. He then entered a second career with Science Applications International Corporation where he worked as a consultant for another 20 years. Tommy was an avid sportsman, playing soccer and baseball in college. After graduation, he became a serious tennis player. In his later years, he was an enthusiastic golfer. He and Cheryl traveled the world in the span of their 58 year marriage. Tommy loved living in Hawaii for the last 42 years of his life, loved Hawaiian music and had great respect for the Hawaiian culture. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
