PAUL LUKE Paul Luke, 94, of Ewa Beach, passed away on May 20, 2025 at Queen's Medical Center West after a prolonged battle with mesothelioma. Paul was born on March 3, 1931 in Kaunakakai, Molokai. He graduated from McKinley High School in 1949. Paul served in the United States Marine Corps for several years and was honorably discharged on 6/15/1955. He subsequently worked for Dole Pineapple, Pepsi Cola, Love's Bakery, and spent the majority of his career working for HC&D (Ameron, Inc.). Paul met Emily Ling through one of her brothers while working for Pepsi Cola and they married on April 8, 1958. They went on to have two children, Tanya Leimomi and Paul Scott. Paul was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. Paul's family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned when counting his blessings. He was unendingly proud of Emily, Tanya, and Paul Scott, and always tried his best to support them. Paul was also a passionate collector (e.g., numismatics and cards to name a few), bowler, traveler, and Zumba dancer. He was a life-long learner and proudly served as the Secretary of the Honolulu Coin Club. Anyone who knew Paul knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Paul is survived by his wife Emily, his daughter Tanya and her husband Denny, his son Paul Scott and his wife Elyse, and his grandson Ryan Kamalani. He is also survived by his brother Edward Otsuka and his wife Beverly, his sister Patricia-Ann Otsuka-Spencer, his sister Esther Ishihara and her husband Loren, and his sister Pauline Nichols and her husband Daniel. The family requests that any flowers be sent to Diamond Head Mortuary - Williams Funeral Service at 535 18th Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii, 96816.
