Paul Spitaleri Obituary

Paul S. Spitaleri, 90, of Hazlet, N.J. died on Monday, December 29, 2025, with family by his side.
Paul was born in New York City to Anna Burke and Sylvester Spitaleri. He was predeceased by his brother William Spitaleri.
Paul was a graduate of Bishop Laughlin High School and received a B.S. and Masters degrees in Chemical Engineering from City College of New York. He was employed by American Cyanamid for 33 years and the EPA for 5 years.
Paul is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lynne, his son Joseph and his wife Cheryl Spitaleri, and his daughters and their spouses, Ann Marie and Greg Cioffi, Jo-Ellen and Joseph Lehocky, and Kathleen and Robert Kaminski. Also, his grandchildren Joseph Lehocky and his wife Alexandra, Katie Lehocky, Emily and Abby Spitaleri, and Kathleen and Michael Cioffi. And his great grandson Joseph Lehocky.
For more than 50 years, Paul was a proud member of the Lynn Manor Bowling League. He was an usher for many years at St Benedict's Church. He enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles and teaching his grandchildren to throw balls and cast fishing line in the backyard. He could also fix just about anything. Nothing gave Paul more pleasure than spending time with his family.
Paul was a loving and caring man who will be always in our hearts.
Visitation will be held at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Sunday, January 5, 2026, 1:00pm - 5:00pm
A funeral mass will occur the following day, Monday at 10:30am at St Benedict Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel N.J.
Internment following mass at Holmdel Cemetery and Mausoleum, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel N.J.
