PEARL JACKSON Obituary

PEARL T. JACKSON Pearl Theresa Jackson (Freitas), 92, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away on the afternoon of October 23, 2024. Pearl was born on July 5, 1932, to parents John and Margaret Freitas of Honolulu, Hawaii. She is preceded in death by her 4 siblings: Kenneth Freitas, Robert Freitas, Betty Molina, Sally Grudgenski, and her grand- son, Jacob Nieto. She is survived by her children: John Nieto and Ivy Jackson (Frederick "Derick" Wurst), 3 grandchildren; John Nieto Jr., Ilana Davis (Shane Briones), Kirah Wurst, 4 great- grandchildren, many nieces and nephews who will miss her generosity, love and strength of character. She was a long-time resident of Kaneohe, a woman that showed such unwavering loyalty to those she cared about. Pearl loved her family deeply. She was a lover of animals and raised pedigree dogs. She enjoyed thrifting, cooking for her family, collecting, playing cards and taking her many trips to Las Vegas. Rarely does the departure of someone from this world garner the vast outpouring of love, respect, and heartfelt grief that Pearl's has. To see this, is very beautiful, heartbreaking, and finally emotionally soothing for those who were closest to her. Pearl will be remembered for her amazing style. Her kindness, and at times spunky, vibrant, spicy, sweet loving firecracker personality, and not sadness. A small service will be held in her honor at St Ann's Church on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 10am. Her ashes will be scattered as she requested in a private setting with her immediate family.

Pearl was an amazing individual. I feel privileged to have been associated with her family. My condolences to Ivy and John. She was a very special person and mother to you two children who were her foundation. May God bless and keep her in His care.
