Good Man Phil,

i packed his tree thinning gear up muddy river, several cargo canoes full of gear - heavy gear. wading, wading wading. good times on the floathouse in ruth bay... koosticat - a story in itself. forest service contract thinning trees in thomas bay... thanksgiving, prairie home companion on the great northern radio if the tide was right. thank you phil it was a pleasure to know you.

Phil and me, I am Bill Swainson, met in Alaska. Petersburg, and in Thomas Bay we thinned trees for a Forrest Service contract.
Phil was an Entrepreneur Extraordinaire and he connected with many people. I am saddened by this news, and wish Happy Sailing Commander Phil.

I am so saddened by Phil's passing. I am in shock! He was an amazing man! LOVED his daughter and had the biggest smile what would light up any room! He was smart and loved watching birds... Phil loved his daughter! She was the most important person in his life. The last time I saw him he had a hat on, the hat he bought when his daughter was born. I miss him so so so much! What an incredible man! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family especially his daughter! May he rest in peace! Loved that man!
