Raymond Brust Obituary

RAYMOND WILLIAM BRUST, JR. 92, of Honolulu, HI, died at home in Honolulu under hospice care on July 27, 2023. He was born in Philadelpia, PA. Survived by wife Gloria; children Helen, Raymond, Paul, Peter, Steven and Chris; sisters Romaine and Charlotte. He and Gloria met at Tripler Army Hospital while both serving in the military. They eventually returned to Hawai'i in the mid-1960's to raise their family, to whom he was an excellent provider. He was a radiologist who worked most notably at St. Francis Medical Center, while he helped found a consortium of fellow radiologists in the 1980's, The Radiology Group. He was an amateur astronomer, enjoyed sailing, bicycling, travelling and had an interest in Chinese Culture. VISITATION 9:30 AM, FUNERAL SERVICE AND MASS 10:30 AM ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 16, 2023 AT SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH IN HONOLULU. COMMITTAL SERVICE 1:00 PM AT THE NATIONAL MEMORIAL CEMETERY OF THE PACIFIC IN HONOLULU. Arrangements Provided By: Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary LLC
