Raymond Matsuo Obituary

RAYMOND YOICHI MATSUO Raymond Yoichi Matsuo, 83, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026. Born on June 17, 1942, in Laupahoehoe. Raymond was raised in the close-knit plantation community he proudly called home. He was a graduate of Laupahoehoe School, where he carried forward the values of hard work, humility, and kindness that would define his life. Raymond dedicated many years of service at Leeds and Neiman Marcus. He took quiet pride in his work and was known for his dependability and steady presence. Above all, Raymond treasured his family. He is lovingly survived by his sisters, Jane Arakaki, Mae Nagao, and Janet Shibuya. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, warm smile, and the simple, faithful way he lived his life. Raymond's life was a testament to devotion to family, to community, and to honest work. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. Visitation will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13, at Nuuanu Mortuary. Services will follow at 5:00 p.m. Arrangements Provided By: Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary LLC
