I knew Ric from Lake Tahoe 1975 when he had his store the Andelusian Dog. During those years he was a prolific and talented artist. Then again when three of us lived in his dad´s Kaawa house along with his Doberman Thunder.
Ric taught me how to find and make pickled Limu among other Hawaiian recipes. Showed me how the local fishermen threw nets and used glass bottom boxes to catch fish then he´d sweet talk a few from them.
Always cheerful, artistic and cooking up something, growing plants from multitudes of cuttings, an all around great guy.
My sincere condolences to his family.
