Richard Palafox Obituary

RICHARD PALAFOX 90, of Honolulu, Hawaii, peacefully passed at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 28, 2024. Born on May 21, 1934 in Hilo, Hawaii. Richard worked for many years at Hopaco. Later, he became a limo driver, meeting many famous artists and athletes. After retiring, he lived to love his wife, Elaine Palafox. Richard and Elaine were married on November 9, 1968. Still driving at 90, Richard took care of his wife. He did the cleaning, cooking, and shopping. They loved going to the beach and watching the waves, going out to eat, and seeing the Friday night fireworks. He will be missed dearly. Richard is predeceased by his father, Teofilo Palafox; his mother, Consolacion Barot; and daughter, Marsha Chun. Besides his wife, Elaine, he is survived by (6) children: June Goodwin, David Domine, Donna Moon, Brad Domine, Allan Octavio, and Lisa Palafox, (9) Grandchildren, (14) Great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Oahu Mortuary on August 27, 2024 from 9am-1pm. Casual or aloha attire. Arrangements Provided By: Oahu Mortuary
